Chapman Center
Spartanburg Repertory Company Benefit
March
26th benefit performance at the David Reid Theatre located at the
Chapman
Cultural Center. The SRC and our guest host, Tom Crabtree of WSPA-TV,
will
present a wonderful musical program between our hors d'oeuvres social
hour from 6:30 pm to 7:30pm and coffee/dessert at
8:30pm.
Attend the
entire
evening for a suggested minimum donation of $25 per
adult.
Attend the
performance only as a new patron (or educator) for a suggested donation
of $15. We typically charge $25 just
for the performance so you'll be getting a bargain either way.
Students
are invited to attend the
performance for a $10 donation.
We will feature
selections from our past performance history of opera, operetta and
musical
theater. I think the split will be approximately 85% musical theater and
15% opera/operetta. The program
will
include
Lakme's "Flower Duet," "The Doll Song" and selections from The Magic
Flute, Carmen, South Pacific, Brigadoon,
Camelot and Kiya Heartwood's new work, "Lying to the Sea
Gypsy."
Our principal adult
